The Ranch

The great farm "La Fontanella" has been saved from the degradation caused by the peasants when they abandoned the land and now has turned again to live in all it's glory thanks to the commitment and the constance of the family Ciardella.

   The Farm, located in high Maremma and immersed in the tipical mediterranean nature, is expanded on over 65 hectares parted in olive trees, vineyard, pasture land and wood in an environment healthy and non contamineted, where agritourism and a vast variety of activities are exercised. La Fontanella is located approximately at 2 km from Suvereto, medieval village, where you can still breathe the athmosphere of the past.
From our residence you can easily access the most important touristical cities of Toscana like Pisa (Km 90), Firenze (Km 170), Lucca (Km 110), Siena (Km 90), Volterra (Km 60), Populonia (Km 25), and the seaside cities like San Vincenzo (Km 19), Baratti (Km 20), and Carbonifera (Km 16).

Apartments


   The redecoration of the colonial house was accomplished with the maximum respect for the architectural criteria of the land, obtaining 11 independent apartments furnished in the folksy tuscanian style, parted in two-room and three-room apartments costituted from one or two bed rooms, living room with cooking corner, bath room and supplied with all accessories, included the lingerie for the bath room and the independent heating system.
Sports


   This agritouristic complex offers a swimming pool with solarium, tennis field, ping-pong, fishing lake and a horse riding school. We're renting mountain bikes.
Agritourism


   One of the many activities of the ranch is growing a very particular race of swines from Cinta Senese.
   This historycal animal was hand down by people who loved this work and was selected in subjects for procreation in order to keep alive this race on the verge of extinction which on our land lives free in her natural habitat.
